Constructed of intricately carved wood, on a base of great white rock, the Shirezei Palace is surrounded by a wide wall, that seperates it from the rest of Ganura, a little pool of serenity in the center of the island-fortress.
Silence distant from the crowds of the cities rules here, and solemn clerks, bureaucrats and generals wander the little paths and gardens that lie between the wall and the palace.
Access is easy enough, if you have the correct credentials, but the most proficient soldiers form a kind of Honor Guard, protecting the current leader of the Shirezei and his council in the palace.
Inside, the palace is all beautiful tapestries, thin wooden and paper screens, and light, airy courtyards.
