Master Yung was slow, and led the way to his quarters. Lu-Nai followed closely, his mind full of worry;
What was his future here in the Monastery?
Would he be exiled?
Why did he have to be so hotheaded in the sparring garden...
Finally the two arrived at the Master Quarters, and they stepped inside.
To the surprise of Lu, the room wasn't empty, but inside were two others, both of them masters of the monastery, Master Ojari and Master Kyotai. They both sat on mats, and watched as he entered. They gave away nothing of Lu's punishment.
The monk could feel his stomach twist in anxiety, and for the second time today he wished he could take back everything he'd said in anger.
"Sit down.." Yung commanded.
That wasn't a good sign - only Masters could sit in the presence of Masters, this meant that unless Lu was being highly promoted, he was about to leave the Faction sitting because he didn't need to follow the rules of the Minisu.
Kyotai spoke first - "You know why you are brought here?" He asked as the monk sat down.
Lu-Nai hung his head.
"Your actions over the last few days..." He began, and Lu hunkered down for the scolding, "...have been commendable. Not only have you stepped outside of the Monastery for the first time on official business, but you came back with success. This does not go un-noticed. To add to your commendment, you have proved to be a very spirited and skilled individual..." He said, a wide grin spreading on the old man's face.
Yung's expression held that of a proud father.
Lu-Nai was confused, this was not what he had expected.
Ojari continued - You are not suited to this place, Lu. To hold you here is like caging a bird, you need freedom...We see that it is your destiny. He said, very sincerely. "That being said, you are free to return to us at any time, and we encourage you to do so. Lu, you should gather your things and follow your future. You are set to do great things." The Master said.
Lu filled with pride, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
