Foren stood on the wooden steps as the wind blew past him. He leaned on his lonf sturdy staff and shut his eyes. He remembered a time when he felt alone, seperated from the world. But here, among everyone, nature he felt truely at home.
Another Monk stood behind him, he had crept carefully behind the older Monk not to disturb him.
"Carefull." Foren whispered. "You don't want to sneak up on people like that." He said still with his yes closed and back turned to the other more Younger Monk.
"How did you kn..." He began to say.
"There is more to the Minisu Monastary than meets the eyes." he whispered. "Now leave me..." He said again.
Obeying his wishes he left softly.

Lu-Nai frowned from Foren's words and looked up from his book. The younger monk walked past him showing a slight look of worry to Lu.
Lu had no intention of interupting Foren's train of thought, and decided on asking about him later on after prayer. For the moment he looked back down at his book - "The Art of Ji-Shuzi", an informative book about bird-watching. Ironic to read such a thing, where no birds ever come.

Foren gave a long deep sigh. With his eyes shut he could hear everything around him. He could sense it all.
"You know, I can hear every page you turn." He said then paused. "How is it...?" He said turning to Lu-Nai. "How is the book?"

Lu looked at the pages, it showed a small finch, with a descriptory below it. His mind was quite blank with respects to the book.
A breeze washed over the library, riffling pages and cooling the already icy air.
"It...is satisfactory. I just wish we could see these animals." He said softly.

Foren sighed heavily. The fact that these youngers lived such sheltered lives was both a blessing and a curse. But none the less, at the end of their intesive training, they were the best the Monasary had. They were the future.
"It is a common wish that most of us have." He leaned on his staff like walking stick and looked at Lu-Nai. "Do you wish you chose another path? A path of freedom? A path beyond this Monastary... Lu-Nai?"

He took a breath and closed the book slowly.
"I long for...enlightenment." It was the drilled answer from all monks. They really did long for it, but the truth is, it was more realistic to long for freedom.
"Did you not hear, Foren? I am the assigned diplomat. It is for my duty to now see more of the outside world." He said, with a mixture of emotions running through his words.

Foren nodded at Lu-Nai with a grunt. Foren stood over the youthed Monk. His old skin didn't even compre to Lu-Nai's young, full of energy self. A part of Foren filled with envy, but it was easily shook off with a small laugh.
"Diplomat..?" He said with a confident smile. "You think your ready to go into the vast open space? Leaving behind the safety of this Monastery?" He had great respect for Lu-Nai. He was dedicated. Self motivated. More so than the rest.

He nodded. "I believe so. It's the next stage of what destiny has set for me..." He said, then added with a laugh, "I don't have much choice!"
It was nearing prayer, Monks were already leaving the library to prepare.

Foren could see the other Monks heading for the prayer temple. "Prayer..." He stated. "Lu-Nai..." He began. He was going to share some personal wisdom with the youth. "Out there, it is not all prayer and meditation. You need your wits about you." He moved around, he was now overlooking the landscape.
"There are unknown dangers out there that they don't teach you here, in the Monastery. Trust no one. Always have weary about you." He said turning to go to prayer but stopped.
"It is a dangerous world out there, don't you forget it. No amount of prayer will save you. And that is God's honest truth." Among other things, Foren was a firm believer of giving someone every advantage in life, even if it meant going against faith now and again.

Lu-Nai looked around quite worried that someone else would hear Foren's rogue words.
He leant in slightly.
"What about the Ninjitsu training they give us? Will that be useful?"

Foren wasn't one to care what others thought of him. He had said more than enough words in his time for every Monk in the Monastery to call him a Heathen. But these truthful words are what made him popular among the youths in the Monastery.
"Just heed my words. Do not go in arms flying. Eye your enemy carefully. Be mindful of your actions." He turned and began to walk. He could see the mass of Monks flurrying towards the prayer temple. He would wait for next prayer.
"Of course though. The Ninjitsu will come in handy. But do not rely on your training. But keep it in mind." He knew that the youths had almost never knew about the great world outside the Monastery. But he did. He had traveled. He made his weekly visits to Ulthan and the few other Factions, but not Hirren. Never Hirren. Hirren had open waters.

Lu-Nai was slightly taken aback, never the less he took notice of what the older monk had to say.
"I'd better go to prayer.." He said softly and headed past Foren and out of the library.
Another cold day. The icy wind whipped up over Lu as he journeyed the pathway to the Temple.

Foren nodded as Lu-Nai passed him.
He sat on the floor and crossed his legs. He would pray from here. He closed his eyes and left this world, he was one with the all mighty.
He could sense everything going on all around him.
