"I'm not having you in here!" Artaxerxes was awoken from his deep slumber in his glass of rum with a harsh jolt, swiftly greeted by the pavement outside. The owner was glaring angrily and shouting. What was he shouting? Words?
Art shook his head, trying to pull himself from the alcoholic stupour. " 'm a capt'n." He slurred as he pulled himself from the street and to his rather wobbly legs. More words. " 've forgotten how to understand words..." He mumbled as he managed to pace away from the pub, totally ignoring the shouting of the bar tender.
He found a comfortable wall and leaned on it, looking rather suave, until people got up close and realised he was falling asleep. And he remained there for some while, drifting in and out of sleep until the early hours of the morning.
He brushed his hair out his face and looked at the slowly lightening sky. "Damn." He squinted with the pain in the back of his head, not sure whether it had been the hit to the paving or the shock of too much alcohol that had caused it.

On a small Mule, Foren Saturn trotted by. He saw the drunk man, he wasn't making much sense. But, the good samatitan he was he moved closer to the drunkard. He moved his burnt arange and brown robes out of the way of his feet and gentley kicked the Mule to go closer.
"Hello there. Are you okay?" He asked. He could of been on his way, but the goodness in him made him help anyone who looked like they needed it.

The pirate raised his nearly black eyes to look at the stranger that rode past, on a mule. His eyebrow raised for a moment, but his brain thought fiercly about the response he was to give. *I'm quite alright, that barman has just thrown me out of the bar, although i have no clue why. I presume he though I was going to cause trouble*
Sadly, that was only what he thought, what he came out with, was more along the lines of. " 'm alright, 'm drunk though." Slurring his words a little more than normal. But then again, his words always seemed to mix together and slur, but that was just the way he was.

The Monk nodded showing no emotion.
"The evils of Ale are a powerful one. I would suggest you lay on it, or go take a cold dip in the waters..." Although Foren hated water. Open water scared the wits out of this little wise old man.
He nudged the Mule for it to move on.

"Hey wait a minute." He pirate made a move to follow the mule. "You got any clue where I can get out of this city?" He looked around a little nervously. he was likely to been seen on the street by someone he knew, or someone that knew him.
If he was caught by the guards, he would be hung. It had seemed worth the risk when his alcohol level was low, but now he was finally back to his normal state, his fearful streak kicked in.

The monk turned back to look at the drunkard. The mule stopped and the Monk climbed off. "You do know where you are, yes? This is Ulthan." The monk went into the bag on his mule.
"Where is it you wish to be heading?" He asked looking for his point on the map.

The captain thought for a minute, how had he gotten here. He had come to see that weird scientist bloke... Leo, yeah. And then, he had felt all too sober and gone for a drink, that was all he knew. Ah yeah, the carriage had gone back without him, on his orders. Damn.
"Yeah, I know where I am." He paused for a minute, trying to get control of his mouth. "But I need to find a way out of the city that I won't be seen from. I have to get to..." He thought for a moment. His face turned away from the monk. "Where... what's my last name... erm Hirren!" The last word he turned around and remembered. "Yeah, I got the same last name as my town. Hirren." He gave a bemused grin.

The word Hirren made the Monk shiver. "Water..." He whispered to himself. He hated water, open water.
"Hirren, right." he moved closer to the drunk Captain and showed him the route. "But if you were to be not seen, I would suggest this way." He pointed another direction.
The monk handed him the map. "Here, I think I have another. Take it." He said handing it to him.

The captain rubbed his eyes for a moment, straightening out his view. "Right..." He took a few moments to register which lines were roads and which lines were buildings, then he tried to apply it to real life. His map reading skills seemed to have dissolved into the rum he had been drinking before.
It was funny, because he lived on rum at sea and he didn't have these problems. Then again, at sea you weren't surrounded by tall... hard... shadowy buildings. Damn, he was feeling claustrophobic. "It's alright... I'm too drunk to read it... I think I'll just have to guess." He gave the monk a hopeless grin. "I need to get another drink, drink myself through this stage of sobriety..."

The old monk rolled his eyes. His simple trip to see an old friend in Ulthan was interupted by this hooligan.
"I think, my friend, that you have had enough. I think you should head back to... Hirren..." He hated that place. He hated anything to do with water. It was a terrible irrational fear.

The captain gave the man a hopeless grin. "Yeah mate, I need ta get back to my ship." He smiled at the thought of being back on the open water, he always hated being stuck on land, so far away from anything open. He had taken to the sea to escape, and now he was trapped.
He could tell that this old monk disapproved of him, and his attitude, but most people did, and it certainly didn't bother him.

The old Monk smiled with a nod. "I have to be going now..." The monk said as he hopped back onto his mule beast. He began to trot down the dusty path, Foren didn't look back at the Captain.
