Shin-Kai was defeated... How could it be? He was out numbered how could he help it? It was impossible to not be defeated when there is near hundred men fighting you at once.
Shin-Kai retraced his steps during the fight to see what he had done wrong. He found nothing, though he remembered he forgot two of the statues not destroying them, he left them something to pray on. He should have went in there and destroyed them fast instead of wasting his time fighting the monks.
Lu-Nai...
Came up in his mind he remembered him when he was just learning how to fight using the arts of Ninjutsu. He wasn't the greatest but now... He was one of the greatest. "Lu-Nai... I shall return for your defeat." Shin-Kai whispered to himself, he started to think of his flaws again.
The monks are so weak, why would they throw him out he hurt one of the elders? Are they saying that they have forgiven him for what he has done in the past? If they were why would they, he did many bad things in his day. There was no reason for them to forget the past?
He looked up and saw the village of Tolan ahead of him. He realized he wasn't too far from the Imperial City now. He could see the graveyard from here. He dropped to his knees and began to pray on his mentors death, the man who taught him more than just Ninjutsu. Even after he left the Minisu he was still with him.
A villager approached Shin-Kai, "Sir, could you please come with me? I am in need of your monk assistance." Shin-Kai looked up telling the man to scram with a hand signal but the man didn't budge.
Shin-Kai opened his right eye then his mouth, "Didn't you just see me signal you to leave!? Do so!" Shin-Kai demanded and the man went down like a dog that had just been hit by his right full owner. The man went inside his small broken down brick house.
Shin-Kai stood up, that was the only man he would pray for he wished the worst for most everyone else. Shin-Kai sometimes dreams that he is still alive and is plotting the demise of the Minisu with him by his side.
A bird flew by and landed near Shin-Kai it chirped and tried to be friendly but Shin-Kai wasn't one to play with his dinner. He pulled out his sword swinging it in one hand then quickly bringing it down on the bird, chopping it right below the chest. He smiled wiping the blood off of his sword then sheathing it.
He turned walking towards the Imperial City being stopped by the same Villager, "Please I am in need of you!" The villager grabbed his legging, Shin-Kai tried to kick him off but he was latched on there tight.
Shin-Kai let out a sigh, "Listen, if you don't get off you are going to loose the arms of yours..." Shin-Kai unsheathed his bladed and pointed it at the bird. "You see that bird? That is about to be you..." Shin-Kai raised his blade and brought it down as he was stopped by someone.
The man stopped it with his wrist, Shin-Kai looked up to see it was a monk who had his mind set on the same goals as Shin-Kai, one of his good friends, Feever. Which was a alias given by the Imperials since he was able to create water from the air turning it to ice or snow being able to use it as a weapon. There was just one thing that was different about them, he was a bit nicer.
Feever sighed, "Do not waste your swords sharpness on this man, he asks little from you. It is hard to tell your even a monk." He said and Kai let up his sword of his wrist, there was not any blood on i or anything. He shrugged and sheathed it. "Come, Kai, my friend, and bring your friend with you as well."
The man led the way into his house, there was a lady on the bed who was pregnant. She was a bit sweaty from the temperature within the small house. Feever gathered some water from the air and soaked her face with it a little, grabbing a rag from his robe and knelling down to her level. He wiped her face off the dampened the rag and put it on his own face. He put it back into his robe and began to chant a series of words and phrases. Kai stood back and watched, he had never seen this before it was something new to him. Feever kissed her stomach then stood up.
The man bowed his head to him, "Thank you sir." The man said and showed Feever and Kai the exit. "I am at mercy to you... I hope my child grows to be a wise monk like thee." He shut his rickety door and Feever laughed a little.
Kai smacked him upside the head, "You should have had them pay you! That was a bunch of rubbish anyways!" Feever rubbed the back of his head and they continued on into the Imperial City where Shin-Kai would report to his elder leader of his quest.
